Accessibility Project for Medical and Health Care Facilities Information
Saxeus developed citizen interface means for accessing information about medical and health care facilities in the state. This interface provides descriptions and other informationa about 26 types of facilities and services available in the state, along with access to the periodic inspection reports and complaints that previously were available only in paper form.
Criminal History Background Check Pilot Program
Saxeus provided program management services to the State of Nevada's Bureau of Licensure and Certification, completing a three year project on time and two-thirds under budget. The $1.8 million program, sponsored by the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), installed 34 new livescan fingerprint sites to facilitate the background check process for long term health care workers. Interfacing among the State Health Division, Department of Public Safety, State Legislature, industry trade groups, and CMS, we designed a background check database to monitor compliance of long term care providers with Nevada's background check requirements. We oversaw a reduction in background check processing time of over 80%, to about 11 days from 90 days at the program's start. We proposed legislative changes to the process which will be introduced in the 2009 Legislative session.
Legislative Liaison, 2005 and 2007 Sessions
We evaluated over 1200 legislative bills for the potential fiscal and program effects on the Nevada State Health Division and Bureau of Licensure and Certification. We provided recommendations for bill changes, preparing testimony for agency representatives to deliver at legislative sessions based on financial and system analyses.

Natural Link Mold Lab: database design and implementation
NLML needed to automate their analyses of mold and fungi samples, prepare reports, and integrate invoicing. Saxeus responded with a database design that was 60% smaller than their original design, providing a more intuitive interface and automating reports that had previously been completed with a combination of applications after exporting data.
As NLML's business has expanded over the past three years, Saxeus has continued to support and improve their system.

Marti's Dance Studios: database design and implementation
Our oldest client remains our most delightful. For over twenty years, Marti managed her dance studios by hand and then entered the 21st century with Saxeus designing a database to manage registrations at remote studios, invoicing, and dance programs for annual recitals. With only minor updates to accommodate faster microprocessors, our original design continues to serve Marti's requirements for ease of use as well as expanding dance operations over several sites.
